1. Prevent personal charge. During loading and unloading operations, the human body must come into contact with the work object (gas truck) and work objects to generate friction, which will easily generate static electricity and may form electrostatic discharge. If flammable and explosive oil vapor happens to be encountered at this time, An explosion will occur. Operators must wear anti-static overalls and anti-static shoes during operation, the purpose of which is to ground the human body. In addition, the shoes worn should be thin nylon socks or other conductive socks. It is strictly forbidden to paste insulating film on the anti-static soles and should be inspected regularly.
2. Static grounding cannot be ignored. From the perspective of a fuel truck, the main areas where static electricity is generated are pumps, filters and pipelines. The amount of static electricity generated by the tanker filling system is much higher than that of above-ground pipes. For static electricity hazards, the following measures must be taken:
① Connect the grounding wire before filling the oil, and frequently check its integrity and whether the grounding resistance meets anti-static standards.
② When filling oil, the crane pipe must be extended to the bottom of the oil tank. The distance between the pipe mouth and the bottom of the tank should be about 15cm. The initial filling speed should be strictly controlled within 1m/s. The flow rate should be gradually increased until the oil outlet is submerged. However, The maximum flow velocity shall not exceed 4.5m/s to prevent electrostatic accidents caused by splashing;
③ After filling the oil, the grounding must be disconnected after the oil has stabilized for 5 minutes. Because after the oil is installed, the oil level potential will be maintained for several minutes due to the flow of oil in the tank.
④ Don’t relax your vigilance just because you have good grounding. Static electricity grounding can only conduct away static electricity on "conductors" that are closely connected to it (metal, human body, conductive liquid, etc.), but it cannot conduct static electricity on isolated conductors and non-conductors (oil, rubber, resin, glass, etc.) that are not connected to it. Static charges are powerless or difficult to remove in a short period of time; therefore, while grounding static electricity, operators should also strictly follow operating procedures and pay attention to hidden dangers that may arise at any time, and at the same time, they must master the correct handling of various emergencies. Methods and rescue measures
3. Attention should also be paid to the accidents caused by "conversion and oil filling". This kind of accident mainly occurs when a tank filled with gasoline is used to hold diesel. The flash point of gasoline is lower than that of diesel. If diesel is injected into a tank containing gasoline vapor, the gasoline vapor will be reduced due to absorption by the poured diesel. Small pressure, then air is sucked into the tank, and a flammable mixture is formed somewhere between the liquid surface and the air suction point. An explosion may occur when static electricity accumulates and discharges. Therefore, when it is necessary to "convert oil filling", the gasoline in the tank must be cleared first, and the operation must be carried out in strict accordance with the operating procedures.
4. Use equipment that meets technical specifications and safety requirements. The automatic control, remote control, measuring instruments, valves and other equipment of the oiling station must be regularly inspected and calibrated, and relevant management systems must be formulated. In particular, the material of the oiling equipment cannot be underestimated. At the same time, you cannot make do with static grounding devices. You must strictly follow the specifications, install them carefully, and inspect them regularly. For those that commonly use clamps and magnetic connectors for grounding, they should not be clamped or adsorbed on random parts of the tanker truck, even on the painted surface. This is extremely detrimental to anti-static and is a major hidden danger. Many users are looking for temporary benefits when buying cars, but they don't know that you get what you pay for. Inferior equipment can easily cause accidents. You should pay more attention to dangerous goods vehicles such as oil tank trucks.
